Humanities E-books

Humanities E-Book Project  The ACLS Humanities E-Book Project is a collaboration of eight learned societies, nearly 75 contributing publishers, and librarians at the University of Michigan’s Scholarly Publishing Office. The result is an online, fully searchable collection of high-quality books in history, recommended and reviewed by historians and featuring unlimited multi-user access. The Project is available 24/7 on- and off-campus through standard web browsers. The ACLS Humanities E-Book Project was initially funded by a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

PERSIA: Politics, Economics, Religion, Social, Intellectual, Artistic

To help you complete your "PERSIA" book review assignment, the sources that were covered in the library instruction session are gathered together in one place on this course page.

Books on World History are in the section labeled "D."
Books on World History are organized by geography first, then chronologically by time period.

To find a book  for your book review, you can use the Search box for the library catalog below, or go directly to the MC Library Catalog to find books and other materials in the College Library.

Start with a general keyword search in the Library catalog, and then limit to the Germantown campus.  If you get too many irrelevant results, try searching you topic by Subject Keyword.

Search types marked with an asterisk, such as "*Subject contains" cannot be limited to one campus.

If you find books on ther campuses, you can have them sent to Germantown by using the "Request" function in the catalog.  You will need your student number that starts with "M" to request books from other campuses.

You can return Montgomery College Library materials at any of the three campus libraries.
