The following guides give the generic format and examples for citing sources in the APA and MLA styles.

Types of sources include: books and e-books, articles (in print and from databases), internet sources, encyclopedias, and works from the Opposing Viewpoints database. Examples of in-text citations are also provided.

The Library provides a tutorial on Plagiarism: What It is and How to Avoid It.  Assigning the tutorial to your students would be a great way to provide an overview of the topic and give extra credit.  There is a quiz at the end of tutorial that is automatically graded and e-mailed directly to the instructor.  Please contact the Library on your campus for more information about tutorials.
