Search Tips

African History is a very broad topic.  It is always a good idea to narrow your topic down.  Several ways of doing this are by

  • specific topic, i.e., malaria in africa
  • by country, i.e., Zambia
  • by time period, i.e., 19th Century or dates
  • combining important keywords, i.e., women and family and africa, etc.

If you need help narrowing your topic, please talk to a librarian at your campus library.
