Websites

Why choose a website?

internet

Many organizations publish their material directly to their website, so the internet can be a great source of information.  However, use information from the web with caution. Since anyone could publish information on the internet, you must evaluate the source of the information to make sure it is authoritative. All websites recommended by librarians are authoritative.

Search Tips: Google

When searching in Google , remember that you can limit your search to a specific domain by entering one of these phrases in front of your search terms:

site:gov
site:edu
site:org

(NOTE there is no space after colon)

Search query:

Websites - Physics

Google Scholar - Physics

If your Scholar Preferences are set up for Montgomery College, articles available through our library will be marked FindIt@Montgomery College.
