Use this guide to find information about Criminal Justice Studies in the Montgomery College Library and online.

The Criminal Justice Department (located on the Rockville campus) is part of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice.

Suggested coursework for the A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice at Montgomery College is outlined in this curriculum description. Here is a list of Criminal Justice faculty.

The Occupational Outlook Handbook published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, provides statistical information and descriptions of various jobs in the criminal justice field, including Police and Detectives; Probation Officers and Correctional Treatment Specialists; Correctional Officers; Security Officers and Gaming Surveillance Officers; and Social Workers working in the criminal justice environment.

Various other occupations related to criminal justice include Private Detectives and Investigators; Judges, Magistrates, and other Judicial Workers; Criminal Prosecutors and Defense Attorneys; and paralegal support staff for attorneys.
