We help students overcome some of the most difficult challenges, including dyslexia, reading, math, and other barriers to education. We provide students with direct instruction in reading, math, digital, and financial literacy, along with workforce skills so that learners can enter a GED program, job-training program, or obtain or improve employment."

Election 2024: Be Informed, Not Misled by News Literacy Project
"The 2024 election season will be among the most closely followed in American history, and as in past years, it also will attract a flood of mis- and disinformation. A new development this year is the rise of artificial intelligence technologies, which can create sophisticated fabrications and distortions that challenge our ability to identify what’s real and what’s not like never before. The News Literacy Project is working to ensure that you know how to discern fact from fiction and can make well-informed voting decisions when you go to the polls. We aim to accomplish that through our election misinformation awareness campaign, which will help you learn how to spot false information and hone your skills for identifying and seeking out credible sources and fact-based information. This includes free resources, videos, and events for educators and the public, some of which are available in Spanish." - NLP
National Association for Media Literacy Education: Media Liteacy Week
"Inspired by Canada’s Media Literacy Week, the annual U.S. Media Literacy Week is hosted by the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE). U.S. Media Literacy Week calls attention to media literacy education by bringing together hundreds of partners for events and activities around the country."

Smithsonian Libraries Education Programs: Information Literacy
"The Smithsonian Libraries and Archives wants to help you gain a better understanding of information literacy and further your skills in this crucial area. In an age where there are myriad sources of information, unending news coverage, and a vast, often unregulated digital world, how can you tell which sources to trust to give you reliable information? Our interactive, online collections are dedicated to helping users think critically about how they identify, find, evaluate, and use information effectively. These can be helpful to learners of all ages but are geared toward grades 6-12 and highlight the following learning standards: understanding primary sources, author point of view or bias, fact versus opinion, summarizing/synthesizing/analyzing text, citing textual evidence, paraphrasing versus plagiarizing, researching with various media/sources, and assessing credibility and accuracy of text. Please explore our ever-growing collections on information literacy!"
UNESCO: Media & Information Literacy
"UNESCO supports the development of Media and Information Literacy and Digital Competencies for all to enable people’s ability to engage critically with information, navigate the online environment safely and responsibly, and ensure there can be trust in our information ecosystem and in digital technologies. Media and Information Literacy provides a set of essential skills to address the challenges of the 21st century including the proliferation of mis- and disinformation and hate speech, the decline of trust in media and digital innovations notably Artificial Intelligence."
