This guide directs you to many sources of statistics from reputable sources.  These sources include library databases, subscription research tools, and published references sources that have been vetted for quality and accuracy.

Terms in this Guide

  • Bibliography: A list of sources – books, journal articles, web sites, etc. – used to write a research paper or other document.
  • CItation: A citation is a reference to a book, article, video, website, or other information source for the purpose of giving credit to the author. Citations also give more credibility to your work because your readers can find out exactly where you got the information.
  • Database: A collection of information stored in an electronic format that can be searched by a computer.
