MC Library Celebrates Hispanic Heritage

We celebrate Hispanic heritage to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. Montgomery College is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution. Thank you to the MC Latino Employee Association of staff, faculty, and administrators for planning and organizing MC Hispanic Heritage Month, which is observed from September 15 to October 15 each year.

Somos is a video and photography multimedia project directed by writer, filmmaker, and content creator Alberto Ferreras featuring a diverse group of Latinas and Latinos answering questions about identity, family histories, and experiences.

Undocumented at MC

Undocumented immigrants are often faceless news headliners. Montgomery College helps put faces to some of those inspiring people. Learn the untold stories of four exceptional MC students who, despite the challenges, achieved their goals of attending a higher education institution. Hosted by MC Student Peter Pereyra.

Your MC education begins with the admissions process, and we’re here to help you along the way.

The Maryland Dream Act became law on December 6, 2012, and applies to all future semesters, starting with the 2013 winter session and beyond.
