What is an Annotated Bibliography?

An annotated bibliography is a list of sources with a short summary and analysis (annotation) under each one. The annotated bibliography informs the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the selected sources.

Citing sources provides credibility to your ideas and places them in an academic context. It is also an important part of academic integrity. Giving credit to other researchers and acknowledging their ideas avoids plagiarism.
